About The Salty Jungle Family
In 2023, Thomas and Lubna made a life-changing decision: to leave the bustling streets of The Hague, Netherlands, and start a new life on the beautiful Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica. Lubna was recovering from burnout, while Thomas had sold his successful surf shop after a business split. Together with their son, Naim, and later their second child, Noé, they embarked on a journey to build their dream in the jungle.
Their adventure gave birth to The Salty Jungle Family, a hospitality project that blends the beauty of the Golfo Dulce and the wild Osa jungle. In just one year, they’ve launched three key ventures: Don Jimenez Guesthouse, Osa Jungla Ecolodge, and a French Bakery, with even more exciting plans in the works.
