In 2024 Lubna and Thomas made a life-changing decision: to leave the bustling streets of The Hague, Netherlands, and start a new life on the beautiful Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica. Together with their son, Naïm, and later their second child, Noë, they embarked on a journey to build their dream in the jungle.

Thomas returned to the Netherlands at the beginning of 2025, but Lubna chose to pursue her dream. This adventure gave birth to The Salty Jungle Family, a hospitality project that blends the beauty of the Golfo Dulce and the wild Osa jungle. In just one year, Lubna launched two key ventures: Don Jiménez Guesthouse and Osa Spirit - Adventures & Experiences Rooted in nature. Her dream is to open another venture in 2026: Osa Jungla Boutique Ecolodge.

• Osa Spirit – Adventures & Experiences Rooted in Nature is an eco-experience movement on the Osa Peninsula, offering immersive nature tours, wellness rituals, outdoor adventures, and cultural ceremonies.
   

• Osa Jungla is a Boutique Ecolodge planned to open its doors in December 2026.
